Step One: After taking some med's. I am starting to get my stomach and other innards under control. I have gotten my appetite back and am starting to feel like my old self once again.
Step Two: Get a MRI. Easier said then done. I knew that they were going to inject die in to my hip, but I didn't know it was going to be 4 inches long. Currently as I type this I feel a little uncomfortable. I am not sure how much die they inject but it is enough to make some discomfort occur. This too will pass.
The MRI is being read on Friday...until then. Stay warm.

Time to recharge....
The battle continues...I have officially pulled back on the reins and decided to take a break from running. Maybe it is the hip that still is giving me problems or the infection that has invaded my abdominal region. I think that it is a combination of both. Coupled with the fact that I am really burned out with running.
I am going to take the medicine to fight of the infection and get rid of my ulcer. Also I have an MRI scheduled to have an inside look at my hip. By doing this I hope that will lead to having some of my questions answered about what is wrong with it.
I hope everything works out....Until next time. Look out for the ice!!!

Back to square one???
Well after running through a sinus infection and a lift in my shoe for about 3 weeks. I have gotten rid of both. The good news is that the sinus infection has dried up...gross!!! But my hip injury is still there. It never really gets any better or worse.
I have be running about 25 to 30 miles a week and most of my runs are about 5 or 6 miles. On the weekend I bump it up to 10 to 12. Besides the hip injury, I am really enjoying the running and the distance that I am going. It has been nice to experience getting out of shape and not be spending much time running. I am just hoping that things get better by the beginning of next year so I can get back in the swing of things for the summer racing season.
Time will tell.

Is the lift working????
I have been wearing a heel lift in my shoe to see if it helps my hip injury. Is it working...hard to say. My hip feels about the same as it did last week. I do feel like it is getting better because about a month ago it hurt just by walking around.
Well anyways...I am hoping to shake this cold bug. It has settled in my head, in particular my ears. It feels like I have ear plugs in and I can hear myself breath...weird.
I read somewhere that, "tough times pass, tough people don't." I am hoping this is true.

Beautiful Weather...
Today's weather was beautiful. These are the days that you wish you could bottle up and open on those cold January days or even the hot and steamy afternoons of July. Regardless how you look at it these days were taylor made for running. The smell of crushed leaves, cool wind, bright sunshine. WOW.
I wish I could be out there running today. But I seem to be very run down, it seems that I have lost my pep? It is the time of change and maybe I caught a bug in the transition. Well I hope the weather doesn't go away too soon and I start feeling better.

2 Weeks later...2 cm short
After getting over the fact that I dropped out of the TCM at mile 21, because of a hip injury. I have started to take a new approach to things. I fresh start. So here I am doing something different, I am starting a running blog. Currently, it seems very trendy. I jumped on board by creating a shared blog with Tracy we report about our non running related activities (Check it out: http://thetrashcanstudio.blogspot.com/) This blog I would like to make this one more personal.
So here it goes....Today I went to the doctor to check out my hip. What I found out is that my right leg is 2 cm shorter then my left leg. Which is why my right hip has been bothering me for the last 6 weeks. I would also guess that is why I had hamstring issues on the same leg last year????
The doctor (Dr. Wang @ http://www.stillwatermedicalgroup.com) recommend that I put a 1 cm lift in my right shoe to see if it helps. So I am to try this out for a couple of weeks and then report back to him. From there if I need any additional treatment he is more then willing to help me out.
So after hearing the diagnosis I wasn't like, "wow what a relief this will be a quick fix!" I was more like, "you have to be sh*ting me!"....2 cm is the separation between having all these injuries, frustrating thoughts, uncompleted goals. I hope so. The lesson here is: You should never over look the small details, sometimes they are the most important ones.
