Today's weather was beautiful. These are the days that you wish you could bottle up and open on those cold January days or even the hot and steamy afternoons of July. Regardless how you look at it these days were taylor made for running. The smell of crushed leaves, cool wind, bright sunshine. WOW.
I wish I could be out there running today. But I seem to be very run down, it seems that I have lost my pep? It is the time of change and maybe I caught a bug in the transition. Well I hope the weather doesn't go away too soon and I start feeling better.

2 Weeks later...2 cm short
After getting over the fact that I dropped out of the TCM at mile 21, because of a hip injury. I have started to take a new approach to things. I fresh start. So here I am doing something different, I am starting a running blog. Currently, it seems very trendy. I jumped on board by creating a shared blog with Tracy we report about our non running related activities (Check it out: http://thetrashcanstudio.blogspot.com/) This blog I would like to make this one more personal.
So here it goes....Today I went to the doctor to check out my hip. What I found out is that my right leg is 2 cm shorter then my left leg. Which is why my right hip has been bothering me for the last 6 weeks. I would also guess that is why I had hamstring issues on the same leg last year????
The doctor (Dr. Wang @ http://www.stillwatermedicalgroup.com) recommend that I put a 1 cm lift in my right shoe to see if it helps. So I am to try this out for a couple of weeks and then report back to him. From there if I need any additional treatment he is more then willing to help me out.
So after hearing the diagnosis I wasn't like, "wow what a relief this will be a quick fix!" I was more like, "you have to be sh*ting me!"....2 cm is the separation between having all these injuries, frustrating thoughts, uncompleted goals. I hope so. The lesson here is: You should never over look the small details, sometimes they are the most important ones.
